This is cost you'd pay a contractor. There are plenty of projects that will yield more value than the cost if you do it yourself - assuming you do a professional job. If the job is not done well (as so many homeowner-done jobs are) it can actually decrease the value of the home.
Almost anyone to Greg at a party: "Hey, Greg. What's happening in the housing market?"
Greg's old response: "Well we haven't appreciated as much this year ... unemployment needs to drop first ... but with that finished basement you just put in your value went up $20k ... if that's the case let's list it next month ... ."
Greg's new response: "Check out my blog while I go check out the dessert table!"

Finishing the basement (I have done all 5 and my recent appraisal gave me very little for the basement)
Based on Realtor.com in conjunction with remodeling.hw.net the correct answer is adding a bathroom. Congrats, Mike - your bagel card is forthcoming!
The figures are based on added re-sale value in our region compared to the job cost.
Greg. Is this job cost, as in what you would pay a contractor to add it, or the raw costs of adding a bathroom yourself?
Tag,
